It’s spring break here for our kids and when we are looking for fun things to do together, we can’t forget about all the great recipes we can make right here in our kitchen. I know my kids love to cook! Just yesterday, my 9 year old son made pancakes for the first time by himself. The kitchen was a little messy afterwards, but he was so proud of himself and I was pretty excited too. So, if you are looking for something fun to make with your kids, these Dipped Rice Krispie Treats are fabulous!
Our kids had a great time making these Dipped Rice Krispie Treats a couple of months ago. We originally made them an impromptu football party (where we also made this delicious sweet and sugary popcorn), but they would pretty much be great for any event or even just for fun. Wouldn’t they be great for a bridal or baby shower? Or for your kids to give away to friends or teachers. With different colors, the options are limitless! I know I wouldn’t complain if we made these weekly!
We loved that we already had all the ingredients already. And no need to use colored candy melts if you don’t have them. Just use regular white chocolate or regular chocolate chips from your grocery store. They would taste great and be fun to make either way.
There isn’t too much of a recipe here. We used the packaged rice krispie treats, melted the blue and white candy melts (in the microwave), dipped them in (one half of the rice krispie treat in blue and the other half in white), and then sprinkled with sprinkles.
We really had such a fun time making these togetherand then eating them together at our little football party! And now its basketball season, so you can cheer on your favorite team with dipped rice krispie treats in your team’s colors.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
