A couple of week’s ago I posted about our DIY Kindness Sign that we put up in our home to try to promote kindness. The Primary Song that we got the words from is just so beautiful, and we wanted to continue with a few more of the words from the song on a second kindness sign. So, here we are with our DIY Kindness Sign – Part 2! We’re hoping it will double the kindness shown in our home! 🙂
I made this sign exactly like I made the previous Kindness sign. I cut out the words from vinyl using my Silhouette Machine (affiliate link) and used them as a stencil to paint on my Hampton Art Mix The Media Wooden Plank Plaque (affiliate link).
Below is a picture that I took during the process. It was taken after the words were cut, the letters removed from the stencil, the stencil was attached, and while I was painting in the letters.
I chose the colors that we use to decorate our home. They’re pretty fun. After the painting is finished, just take of the stencil, and you have a beautiful rustic sign for your home.
Since the wood is kind of rough, the letters aren’t completely crisp looking, but I like it that way. It think it is more perfect with its imperfections!
And here are both signs together. I’m really hoping that these cute signs help my kids and I keep our family resolution about being more kind to one another. If we can have this song running in our heads all day long, I’m pretty sure we would always be nice!
Now I just have to decide where to put these for maximum viewing. Should I hang them on the wall, or put them on a table? So many decisions.
Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for stopping by!
