A couple of Saturdays ago, we decided to have an impromptu football watching party. I found a few recipes that (I thought) I could make with the food I already had on hand and we were all set and ready to go. We made some yummy popcorn and dipped Rice Krispie Treats (recipes to follow soon!) and then I began on the dip. I started by pulling out the needed ingredients only to realize that I didn’t actually have many of the ingredients or the right amounts of the rest of the ingredients in my recipe. I mixed together what I had, making substitutions for everything in the recipe and hoped that it still tasted alright in the end.
Thankfully, the Warm Bacon Ranch Dip was delicious! My family and I devoured the whole pan’s worth. So, I thought you might want to know and try out this completely made up recipe. Perfect for any New Year’s Party or football watching party! I’m sure there will be a lot of football watching coming up in the next few weeks. This dip is amazing with tortilla style chips, and I personally recommend trying it with Tostitos Scoops Chips.
Warm Bacon Ranch Dip
Ingredients:
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 8 oz. sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups Monterrey Jack cheese
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. ranch dressing mix
- 1 1/2 oz. real bacon bits
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix all the ingredients together and spread into a 8×8 inch baking dish (affiliate link). Cook for 25 minutes or until hot.
It really was so good! I think we need to make it again soon!
Also, don’t you think that chip and dip bowl is awesome! It’s called the Ooma Bowl and I bought it for my husband from Uncommon Goods for Christmas last year. It was a hit!
This dip truly is amazing and makes watching football even better!
This looks really good. I can’t wait to try. Could you put this in the microwave instead of the oven?
I’m sure it would be great in the microwave. Then you can enjoy it’s deliciousness even faster!
