Let me know if adding more eggs and milk help. Instead of Texas toast, I have used regular white bread, but used 3 layers of it instead. I’m not really sure how to make the sugar and butter less gritty either. Maybe make sure to stir it longer to help the sugar dissolve more. Sorry to not be of more help! Happy New Year!

The bottom layer was great however the top layer was somewhat dry. Also the butter and brown sugar mixture was a little gritty,I thought it was supposed to be syrupy. Can’t find texas toast here….next time I think I will add more eggs and milk. Your thoughts??

I have read some comments of people that have tried it that way and said it turned out just fine. Let me know if you try it! I would love to know if it works out!

It was very good, but my bottom layer was soggy while the top layer was perfect. I was wondering if this was normal or if there was a tip or trick I needed to do to make this not happen.
