Put Me in the Zoo Preschool Craft

Put Me in the Zoo Preschool Craft at DoingSplendid.comWe had a great weekend! My husband officially has his PhD! We are so excited for him and all his accomplishments! Can you tell that I am excited yet? I’ve talked about it for the last two posts straight! Now on to new adventures! But for now…

We did this Put Me in the Zoo (affiliate link) preschool craft when we were learning about the letter Z and learning about the zoo in our preschool co-op. This book is really popular with the kids! The kids I have read it to think its great!

Put Me in the Zoo Preschool Craft at DoingSplendid.comWe made this simple craft by tearing yellow tissue paper into little bits and then gluing it onto paper plates. Beforehand, I had punched out all the colorful dots and the black dots for the eyes and nose for the kids to glue on. The kids cut out the mouths for their little creature too if they wanted one.

My older son made the one with all green dots (his favorite color). I didn’t have any green paper to punch out green dots, so he compromised by coloring green dots in on his own. I think his is great too! I love making projects with kids when they can make it their own!
