Whole Wheat Cinnamon Streusel Muffins at DoingSplendid.comWe love these whole wheat Cinnamon Streusel Muffins! That crumbly topping is so delicious! It makes me feel a little bit better eating so many since they are whole wheat. That makes them healthy, right?

All my kids loved them too! They ate them all…down to the very last crumb! We even doubled the recipe so we could eat them for breakfast two days in a row! It was fabulous!

For the muffins:

  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 2 eggs

For the streusel topping:

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease muffin tin. Mix together all the dry ingredients for the muffins. Add all the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Divide batter into muffin tin.

Mix together all the ingredients for the streusel topping. Sprinkle on top of each muffin. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.
