These oatmeal muffins are my favorite! I love to make these healthy muffins for my family and they are so easy to make, I can even make them on a busy weekday morning. My favorite though is having leftovers from the day before for breakfast, so I don’t have to make anything on a busy weekday morning! 🙂
These muffins came about because my kids are not big fans of raisins in their muffins, so they are an oatmeal raisin muffin, but without the raisins! They are still fabulous though! I’ll bet if you wanted to add raisins or dried cranberries, they would be super delicious as well! Whole Wheat Oatmeal Muffins
Makes 24 muffins
- 3 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup melted butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease muffin tins or line with paper liners. Mix together the flour, sugar, oats, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Add eggs, milk, and melted butter. Stir until combined. Divide batter into individual muffin cups. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.
Try them! I’m sure you’ll love them!
Do your kids like raisins? Some of my kids like them just plain (not baked in a muffin).
What is your favorite type of muffin?
