We make a lot of muffins at our house, so the other day we decided we wanted to change up our usual recipes a little bit. We love dipping apples in Nutella, so we thought we would add those to our favorite muffin recipe and they sure turned out tasty! We loved the Apple Nutella Swirl Muffins and will add them into our muffin rotation. Even my husband liked them and he’s not usually a muffin for breakfast sort of guy. Who am I kidding though, is there anything with Nutella in it that isn’t tasty?!
Apple Nutella Swirl Muffins
(makes 24 muffins)
Ingredients:
- 3 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup peeled, dices apples (I used a Granny Smith apple)
- 1/2 cup Nutella
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray muffin tins with cooking spray.
Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together. Add eggs, milk, and melted butter. Stir until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
Fill muffin tins about 3/4 full. Add about a teaspoon of Nutella to each muffin cup and swirl with a toothpick.
Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes.
I hope you love them as much as we do!
Have a fabulous day!
