DIY Holiday Pillowcases

DIY Holiday Pillowcases at DoingSplendid.comYou know all those fancy magazines that advertise beautiful bedding for each season of the year? I love those and wish we could all have bedding that changes with the season … but since space (and funds) don’t always match up with our wishes, I think that our DIY Holiday Pillowcases are the next best thing!

We started this little tradition a couple of years ago when I would give our kids a new pillowcase as each new holiday season approached. They were so excited and are still excited now when we pull out the holiday pillowcases to decorate their beds. I think they are starting to love decorating and celebrating holidays as much as I do! How long do you think I’ll be able to put an Easter Bunny pillowcase on my boys’ beds?! Well, it’ll be fun while it lasts!

This is one of the holiday pillowcases from a couple of weeks ago! 🙂

St. Patrick's day pillowcase Pillowcases are so simple to make! It is a great project for a person just beginning to sew and a quick project for those that are more seasoned seamstresses. I love this tutorial for making pillowcases and have used this method many times. I have never sewn pillowcases using the magical pillowcase method before, but after reading more about it, I think I will try that next time I make a pillowcase. It looks…well…magical!

Have you ever tried the magical pillowcase method?

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
