For this Splendid Sunday, I had a great post already lined up about our Spring Break vacation to Disneyland. You know about all the fun rides we rode and the fun we had as a family, but unfortunately our daughter got the stomach flu right before we were supposed to leave, so we have had to postpone our trip for another time.
We have been a little sad, but sometimes blessings come from the most unlikely circumstances. My husband has been feverishly working on his dissertation and its not quite finished yet. Staying home from vacation has meant that he has had more time to devote to this big project and he is a lot less stressed about the timing of its completion. That’s a big blessing!
Not to mention that some of favorite rides at Disneyland such as Splash Mountain, Matterhorn Bobsleds, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Peter Pan’s Flight are all closed currently for enhancements to prepare for the upcoming 60th Anniversary Celebration.
I have also gotten to spend more leisurely hours with my older kids that I don’t get to have very often. I got to sew with my daughter and we got to watch movies and play together as a family!
So, even though this week didn’t go quite as planned it has turned out to be a fabulous spring break anyway!
I hope your next week is great!
P.S. The picture of Taryn above is us at Disney World a couple of years ago. That was a fun trip and I’m sure our trip to Disneyland later this year will be fun too!
