LUCKY Letters for St. Patrick’s Day

I love to decorate my house for different holidays! I know that St. Patrick’s Day isn’t really a major holiday, but I wanted some kind of decoration to help us celebrate (we take any chance we can get to have a celebration)! So, we made LUCKY letters for St. Patrick’s Day!

Lucky sign for St. Patrick's Day

We bought the paper mache letters from Joanns. I debated whether or not to instead spell the word BLESSED instead of LUCKY, but we only have so much space on our mantle, so LUCKY won the toss-up!

My two older kids wanted to help, so they helped me with the painting. They especially loved the gold! Who doesn’t love a little shimmer? I know I do!

We even added a light layer of gold paint to the sides of each letter to make them shine even more!

And here are our LUCKY letters in all their glory on our St. Patrick’s Day mantle. They sure add a whole lot too it, since before we didn’t really have anything to decorate with for St. Patrick’s Day.

Now our home looks a little more festive and it was a super fun activity to work on with my kids!

Do you like to decorate for holidays?
