I think these Lolly Cupcakes are so cute! I made them for our Great to be 8 Baptism Preview last week. Not only do you get a cupcake, but lollipops as well! (I’m sure the kids’ parents were really happy about that) 🙂 I also couldn’t believe how many the kids ate! (I’m sure the parents were happy about that too!)
I was originally inspired by these, but we made these very simply. Just spreading the frosting on, sprinkling them with sprinkles and sticking the lollipops in. All of my kids were very happy to help with the decorating! We tied the ribbon around one the lollipops to make it even cuter.
I love how they look like little balloons. It makes the Lolly Cupcakes perfect, and easy, to make for birthday parties or any other celebration! Even though they are very simple to make, they make a big statement. I’m pretty sure that whoever you make these for will be impressed by their cuteness. (Have I said that these cupcakes are cute enough yet?)
Simple Buttercream Frosting
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 to 2 Tablespoons of milk
Mix powdered sugar and butter together in a mixer on low speed. Add vanilla and 1 Tablespoon of the milk. Beat in just enough milk to make the frosting the right consistency for spreading. Spread on cake, cupcakes, cookies, or eat it straight out of the bowl!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
