We all need a classic chocolate chip cookies recipe! Our family loves this one! It makes a ton of cookies, but we have no trouble eating them all. 🙂 Luckily, we have a couple of great neighbors that are willing to take a few off our hands, so we can at least pretend to eat a little more healthy!
I am usually the type of person who would rather make a bar type cookie or brownie because sometimes cookies just take so long to make and bake, but these cookies are worth the time! Chocolate chip cookies really aren’t difficult to make. I should stop being so lazy and make these delicious cookies more often!
Aren’t these chocolate chip cookies so good looking? Honestly, I am just learning how to take really great pictures, but sometimes the pictures just turn out so well, even when I’m not trying too hard. 🙂
Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 lb. butter
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 cups flour
- 1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugars until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine baking soda, salt, and flour in a separate bowl and add to sugar mixture a cup at a time. Add in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto cookie sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes.
*This recipe really does make a lot of cookies. If you don’t want as many chocolate chip cookies or have a smaller type mixer, you might want to half the recipe.
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!
