Mom School: E is for Elephant Preschool

Elephant Preschool at DoingSplendid.com

When it was my turn to teach our preschool co-op about the letter E, I decided we would have an elephant preschool! We read the book Elmer (affiliate link) by David McKee. It is a cute story about being ourselves and also about being good friends. The kids in our preschool loved it! They love listening to stories! There are so many activities online about activities to go with this book, but we decided to go with a simple, yet fun, elephant puppet. The kids decorated their puppet however they wanted, just like the elephants did in Elmer.

We also ate elephant bread! I thought that it was so cute! I made a little collage to show you how to make it. It is super simple if you just use the canned biscuits from the grocery store. After the elephants are assembled, just bake according to the directions on the package. Elephant Preschool at DoingSplendid.comAren’t they so cute?! The preschool kids loved them and so did my kids! Cute food is just so irresistible!

Elephant Preschool at DoingSplendid.comWhat is another activity you would do for an elephant preschool?

What would you teach preschool children if you were assigned to teach the letter E? All I could think of was elephants or eggs!

Have a great day!

My son is in high school, but when he was small he absolutely loved elephants. One of his first words was “e-fant”! I may have to make and serve these at his graduation party 🙂 Thanks for the great idea. Found this at the #wonderfulWednesdayHop
