Spring Chick Craft - Doing Splendid

Spring Chick Craft

Spring chick craftWe have seen so many cute crafts made out of empty egg cartons that we just had to make our own! We decided that since it is spring that we would make a cute little spring chick!

This little spring chick craft is so cute! We loved the fluffy feathers (which happened completely by accident 🙂 ) and how they bring a little bit of spring into our house!

Materials Needed

  • Empty egg carton, cut up into individual cups
  • Paint (any type you feel comfortable letting your kids use. We used washable! 🙂 )
  • Feathers
  • Googly eyes
  • Glue (we actually put our eyes and beak on with hot glue, but you could let the kids use regular school glue if you want)
  • Paintbrushes
  • Orange craft foam

After you’ve grabbed all your supplies…

This is the part that we did by accident, but I’m so glad that we did. I was just trying to figure out how to glue the feathers on when some fell off onto the wet paint and there it was, a fluffy spring chick!
