Oatmeal Breakfast Bars

These oatmeal breakfast bars are my favorite breakfast! I love breakfast food, so I might say that a lot, but I really do LOVE these! 🙂

Oatmeal Breakfast Bars

Recipe adapted from Heavenly Homemakers (I love that website!)

  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together the butter and sugar. Add the eggs, soda, salt, and vanilla. Mix well. Add the oats and whole wheat flour and mix.

At this point, you can also add chocolate chips, raisins, dried cranberries…anything you want, or you can leave them plain. They are delicious any way you make them!

Spread into 9×13 pan and cook for 20 minutes or until done.

We like to eat ours warm. They are so tasty! We actually had them for breakfast just this morning…I think I better go eat one!
